Change your plan
How you change plan depends on how you pay.
Paying by card
Once you have a card subscription, plan and period changes go through the Stripe billing portal:
- Open Settings → Billing.
- Under Billing portal, choose Open portal.
- Choose the new plan — Plus or Pro — or a different billing period: monthly, quarterly, every 6 months, or annual.
Stripe prorates the change. Moving up, you pay the difference for the rest of the current period and the new limits apply straight away. Moving down, the unused part of the more expensive plan is credited against your next bills.
Switching to annual costs ten months for a year. If you start to cancel, Quorum may offer the switch to annual as one of its alternatives.
Paying by InstaPay
InstaPay periods do not change mid-way. When your current period is ending, send your next transfer for the plan and period you want — see Pay with InstaPay. A transfer made early adds its period to the end of the current one.
Moving to Free
There is no separate downgrade to Free: cancel a card subscription, or let an InstaPay period run out. Either way, you keep the paid plan until the end of what you have paid for.
If you are over the new limits
Moving down never deletes anything. If you have more than the new plan allows — say, 8 groups on a plan with 3 — every group, student and record stays readable, and you can keep teaching the groups you have. What stops is creating more: a new group, more students, or sessions beyond the month's allowance. Archive groups you are finished with to get back under the limit. See When you hit a limit.
Features the new plan does not include stop being available. Moving from Pro to Plus closes exams — past attempts and their scores stay in the grade table. Moving from Plus to Free means no new team members; people already on your teams keep their access.
